We are a small (10 bedroom) Hotel and Pub in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck in South Dorset.  Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel including the bedrooms. Our MOTTO is DOGS WELCOME WITH OWNERS ON LEADS.

 

We are ideally situated for a multitude of walks, including the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Coastal Paths.  We have Swanage Steam Railway at the end of our garden with a steam service through to the seaside town of Swanage.  Dogs are welcome to travel on the train.

“The Shoes” is tucked away in a peaceful part of West Dorset in a picturesque village. Surrounding country side is excellent for walking.

 

Dogs are more than welcome in our guest rooms and bar. There are three high standard spacious double en-suite guest rooms.  The inn boasts a great reputation of excellent cuisine using fresh local produce even from our own garden. A la carte menu served daily with lunchtime snacks available. Combine this with a worldwide fine wine list, sunsets over Dorset hills or warmth of log fires and you have an enjoyable evening awaiting you.
